Do you enjoy working with children, getting paid to climb, and the idea of working in a family and fitness-oriented environment? Requirements:
  • Colorado State Specific Licensing Requirements **CCR 7.719.6:
    • The climbing supervisor shall:
      •  "Be at least 18 years old;"
      •  “Have certification or documented experience in knots, anchors, safety zones, verbal signals, belaying, rappelling, and safe tie-ins, or training or experience from a recognized organization, such as the Association for Challenge Course Technology or certifying body for the type of activities offered; and,”
      •   " Have at least six weeks' experience in a management or supervisory capacity in similar types of programs."

  • This position is a part-time to full-time seasonal position with a variable schedule; the ability to work day and evenings according to the needs of the program is required; Monday - Friday and able to commit to the entire summer season 
  • This position requires work that occurs both indoors and outside on a regular basis; handling of cleaning products and agents is required
  • This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress; all candidates must be prepared and capable of adapting to such conditions and be always mentally alert 
  • A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and fellow Team members
  • CPR/First Aid/AED Certifications or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
 
Basic Responsibilities:
  • Guiding and instructing campers and staff in rock climbing techniques and safety protocols throughout their camp experiences. 
  •  Cultivating lasting connections among young climbers to nurture a supportive and inclusive camp environment centered around their shared passion for rock climbing.
  • Conducting thorough safety checks and maintaining detailed logs before and after each climbing session.
  • Providing regular updates and feedback to parents, team members, club members, and Program Director regarding camp activities and participant progress.
  • Adapting climbing instruction to meet the unique needs and abilities of each camper while promptly addressing any safety or behavioral concerns.
  • Ensuring that all climbing equipment and areas utilized by the camp are meticulously maintained, clean, and in optimal condition for safe use.

Compensación: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
